Privacy and analytics
Updated 8 October 2026
GoldGramPrice is built and run by Michael Lip, as one of the tools he makes under zovo.one. This page covers the analytics on goldgramprice.com and the few other requests your browser makes here. For anything else about your data, write to support@zovo.one.
The calculators run in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or to Google.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to learn which channels bring people to goldgramprice.com, such as Reddit, Pinterest, Facebook or a search engine, and what they do once they're here. It tells us which guides and calculators are worth building next. We don't use it for ads, and we never sell what it collects.
With analytics on, the page sends Google the pages you view, the link or campaign tag that brought you, your device type, browser, screen size and language, and an approximate location. It also counts a few actions, like scrolling down a page, starting to use a calculator form, downloading a file or clicking a link to another site.
Before any page address goes to Google, the page removes every query parameter except the
utm_ campaign tags and Google's gclid click ID. Google reads your
country and city from your IP address and then drops the address, and GA4 doesn't log or store
IP addresses. We never send Google your name or email address.
Two first-party cookies let GA4 recognize a repeat visit from the same browser. They hold random IDs and nothing else about you.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's analytics tag doesn't load until you press Accept in the banner, and it never loads if you decline. In those countries we rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The cookie rules ask for the same consent, under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the national laws that implement it, and under the UK's PECR. We ask in Switzerland too.
Everywhere else, analytics is on when the page loads. We rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which channels work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you can switch it off at any time. To decide whether to show the banner, the page asks Cloudflare, which already hosts the site, which country your connection comes from. We don't store that answer. If the answer doesn't come back, the page treats you as a visitor from the EEA and asks first. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, analytics stays off.
Google LLC, and Google Ireland Limited where Google's terms name it, process this data for us as our processor under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. We keep Google signals and advertising features switched off, so we don't link analytics data to Google accounts or use it for ads. GA4 deletes event data after 14 months.
Google may process the data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and Google's terms also include the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
You can change your choice at any time with
Cookie settings, here or at the foot of any
page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and we delete the _ga cookies from
your browser. Data sent before that stays in GA4 until its 14 months run out. You can also
block Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out add-on at
tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout,
or block cookies in your browser.
Other requests from your browser
Every page loads its font from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's font servers for it whether or not you accept analytics. That request carries your IP address and browser details. It doesn't set a cookie.
To keep the spot price current, your browser fetches it from gold-api.com while you're on the page. That request carries your IP address and browser details too, but nothing you type.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also measures page loads with its own Web Analytics. Its script sends Cloudflare the page address, how long the page took to load and your browser type. It doesn't set a cookie, and it runs whatever you choose in the banner.
Some pages show a box about the Gold Seller Decision Kit. Our own server counts when that box comes into view and when someone clicks its link. Each count holds the page it came from and the action, and nothing that identifies you. We delete it after 30 days, and we skip it entirely if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
Advertising
Some pages have one ad slot below the calculator, served by Google AdSense. It loads only for visitors whose connection Cloudflare places outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. If the country lookup fails, nothing ad-related loads. Where it loads, Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, as described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we ask Google for non-personalized ads only. You can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
The Gold Seller Decision Kit box may also link to a partner that buys jewelry. If you sell through that link, we may earn a fee. The link is marked as sponsored.
